Pennsylvania Forests A quarterly magazine (free with membership) which addresses forestry topics. Each issue has a general theme. Features include "Views You Can Use," "County Up-dates," theme-related articles, book reviews, unsolicited articles, and a four-page Environmental Education insert for youth related as much as possible to the quarterly theme. Big Trees of Pennsylvania, 2011—$15.00 This 8 1/2 x 11 inch laminated softcover publication lists 34 species of "big trees" by definition of circumference, height, average crown spread,and location. Requirements and information for nomination are delineated. 30 pages.

The Crown Jewel of Pennsylvania—$8.00 An 11 x 8 1/2 inch laminated softcover, this book is a documentary on the Pennsylvania State Forest System from 1890-1995. Color and black and white photographs. 97 pages.

The Elk of Pennsylvania—$6.00 A laminated 8 1/2 x 11 inch color, softcover, this publication features the history to 1995, life cycle, and the status of Pennsylvania's elk. 48 pages.

The Pennsylvania Elk Herd of Today—$6.00 An 8 1/2 x 11 inch color, softcover, this publication is a recent account, 1995-2000, of Pennsylvania's elk herd. 20 pages.

The History of Pennsylvania Elk Country--$10.00 Ralph Harrison walks us through the history of Pennsylvania elk country, primarily Elk and Cameron Counties, from pre-settlement times to the early settlement period along the Sinnemahoning and its branches. Ralph spent his entire lifetime nurturing the elk herd and his love of this extraordinary resource is clearly evident in this book.

The Life of Maurice K. Goddard—$25.00 A hardback book on the life and times of Dr. Goddard, a passionate servant of the environment, who served five Pennsylvania govenors. Indexed. 376 pages.

A Forester's Legacy:The Life of Joseph E. Ibberson—$15.00 Henry D. Gerhold, 2007 This is the biography of a forester and philanthropist devoted to bringing the benefits of forests to all people and a success story of a man with a mission to preserve Pennsylvania's most valuable resource.

Forestry Pioneer: The Life of Joseph Trimble Rothrock—$15.00 Eleanor Maass, 2003 Who was this amazing man? During his lifetime, 1839-1922, most Pennsylvanians knew who he was. The scientific world considered him to be a distinguished botanist, but Pennsylvanians believed he had saved their forest from destruction.
