The Pennsylvania Forestry Association (PFA)
is a non-profit association whose efforts are directed toward sustaining
the rich forests that are so much a part of the Commonwealth. Almost 60
percent of Pennsylvania is forestland, a valuable resource providing opportunities
for recreation and forest products.
The key to successfully meeting the demands
made on our state's forests is to understand good forest management. To
do this, education is the primary role of The Pennsylvania Forestry Association.
That is why PFA offers both student and teacher scholarships as well as
selling forestry-related publications.
Your donation will allow the Pennsylvania Forestry
Association to be a strong organization that continues to educate the
public on the importance of sustaining the Commonwealth's forestland.
Contributions to any of these funds are
welcomed:
PFA Endowment Fund
This Fund was established by the Pennsylvania Forestry Association to
expand and enrich the mission of the Association through acceptance of
restricted and unrestricted gifts, not to support the operating budget.
Only in particular, temporary, difficult circumstances, and where the
integrity of gift restrictions permits, may the Board of Directors use
a part of the undesignated portion of the Fund for support services. Designations
for particular causes will be scrupulously observed.
Joseph E. Ibberson Endowment Fund
The purpose of this Fund is to support the Pennsylvania Forestry Association
in fostering the preservation and wise use of all the forest lands in
Pennsylvania, their flora, fauna, water and air so as to achieve the maximum
sustainable recreation, wildlife, pure air, pure water and timber products
consistent with preserving the environment. A key function is to educate
landowners and the general public via workshops, publications, conferences,
and programs for school teachers. The fund is intended to assist PFA in
raising funds through mailings, direct solicitation, and the magazine.
Henry Chauncey Endowment Fund
The Educational Testing Service endowed this fund to commemorate its founder,
Henry Chauncey. The fund supports educational activities of the Pennsylvania
Forestry Association that foster the conservation and wise use of all
aspects of forested lands in Pennsylvania, especially the education and
training of teachers, students, and forest landowners.
The Pennsylvania Forestry Association is a
tax exempt organization under IRS code 501(c)3, so gifts may be deducted
from current income taxes and are not subject to federal gift or estate
taxes. Your gift may be sent to:
